Sensex up 141pts; Wipro surges 4%

The Sensex is now up 141 points at 13,026.

Wipro has surged 3.8% to Rs 586. TCS and Bharti Airtel have soared over 3% each to Rs 1,253 and Rs 774, respectively.

HDFC and ONGC have rallied 2.8% each to Rs 1,611 and Rs 803, respectively.

HLL, BHEL, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and Hindalco have advanced over 2% each to Rs 188, Rs 1,516, Rs 772 and Rs 131, respectively.

ITC has slumped 4.5% to Rs 148. Gujarat Ambuja has shed 1.8% to Rs 108, and Reliance Energy has slipped over 1% to Rs 476.

Out of 2,394 stocks traded so far, 1,636 have advanced, 700 have declined and 58 are unchanged.
