Sensex up 145pts; SBI gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 145 points at 13,841.

Tata Motors has rallied 4% to Rs 841. Bajaj Auto has surged 3.5% to Rs 2,739 and Maruti has added 3.3% to Rs 955. Hero Honda has soared over 3% to Rs 766.

SBI has advanced over 3% to Rs 1,355. Dr.Reddy's, HLL and Reliance Communications have gained around 2.5% each at Rs 771, Rs 242 and Rs 440, respecitvely.

Reliance Energy has moved up over 2% to Rs 540. ITC, Reliance, Ranbaxy and Satyam are the other significant gainers.

Out of 2,629 stocks traded so far, 1,556 have advanced, 998 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
