The Sensex is now up 149 points at 9,682. NSE Nifty is now up 40 points at 2,962.
Satyam has surged nearly 6% to Rs 157. Jaiprakash Associates has soared 5.3% to Rs 83.
Sterlite and Mahindra & Mahindra have gained 5.6% each to Rs 264 and Rs 267, respectively.
Reliance Communication is up over 4% at Rs 221.
Tata Motors and Maruti have moved up 3.7% each at Rs 154 and Rs 517, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure has advanced 3% to Rs 579. Hindalco is up 2.6% to Rs 51.
HDFC Bank has added 2.5% to Rs 1,028. Larsen & Toubro has inched 2.4% to Rs 759.
Grasim has shed 0.6% to Rs 1,240. Hindustan Unilever and TCS are down marginally.
