Sensex up 14pts at 11,603

The Sensex is now up 14 points at 11,603.

Cement stocks are firmly holding gains. ACC has added 4% to Rs 923. Gujarat Ambuja has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 111, and Grasim is up nearly 2% at Rs 2,239.

Satyam has spurted nearly 3% to Rs 840 on plans of a bonus issue. The company today announed that its board is scheduled to meet on April 21 to announce the fiscal results and consider a proposal for bonus issue.

Infosys, whose is due to meet on April 14 for results and bonus purpose, is up over 1% at Rs 3200.

Tata Steel has gained 2.6% at Rs 556. HDFC Bank and Tata Power have advanced over 1% each to Rs 821 and Rs 592, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 2% to Rs 876.

SBI has shed 1.4% to Rs 965. Hindalco and ITC have declined 1% each to Rs 185 and Rs 198, respectively.

Out of 2,491 stocks traded so far, 1,386 have advanced, 1,037 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
