Sensex up 14pts; HDFC slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 14 points at 12,468.

Bajaj Auto and Reliance Communications has rallied nearly 2% each to Rs 3,055 and Rs 353, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Hindalco have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 490 and Rs 174, respectively.

ICICI Bank, ITC, Tata Steel and Gujarat Ambuja are up around 1% each at Rs 706, Rs 190, Rs 541 and Rs 118, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 1.7% to Rs 1,509. Ranbaxy has dropped 1.4% to Rs 434, and HLL is down 1% at Rs 254.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,287 stocks traded so far, 1,541 have advanced, 677 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
