Sensex up 14pts; HLL slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 14 points of 12,380.

NTPC has surged 2.7% to Rs 133. HDFC has advanced 1.8% to Rs 1,417.

Maruti and Dr.Reddy's have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 953 and Rs 716, respectively.

Tata Motors, ACC and Ranbaxy are up 1% each.

HLL has dropped 1.7% to Rs 239. Tata Steel has slipped 1.2% to Rs 520.

ICICI Bank, Reliance Energy, Larsen & Toubro and SBI are the other prominent losers.

Out of 2,539 stocks traded so far, 1,486 have advanced, 974 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
