Sensex up 14pts; SBI, HDFC Bank shine

The Sensex is now up 14 points 12,381.

HDFC has surged nearly 4% to Rs 1,502. ICICI Bank has rallied over 3% to Rs 710.

SBI and HDFC Bank has moved up around 2.5% each to Rs 1,025 and Rs 920, respectively. Ranbaxy has spurted over 2% to Rs 430.

Cipla, HLL and ONGC have gained 1% each.

Dr.Reddy's has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 724. TCS, Maruti and Reliance Communications have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,025, Rs 948 and Rs 341, respectively.

Satyam is down 1% at Rs 823.

Out of 2,498 stocks traded so far, 1,274 have advanced, 1,143 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
