Sensex up 150pts; ACC, L&T surge 3%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 46 points at 10,855. Continued buying in early trades saw the index rally to a high of 10,982.

The index is now up 150 points at 10,959.

ACC and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have rallied over 3% each to Rs 826 and Rs 2,435, respectively.

HDFC has advanced 2.9% to Rs 1,205. Gujarat Ambuja, Hero Honda, ONGC and Hindalco are also trading with smart gains.
