Sensex up 150pts; NTPC, Tata Motors up 2%

The Sensex is now up 150 points at 15,053.

ACC, Reliance Energy and Ambuja Cements have soared 2.7% each to Rs 1,006, Rs 763 and Rs 130, respectively.

NTPC and Tata Motors have rallied around 2% each to Rs 167 and Rs 662, respectively.

SBI, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 1,711, Rs 541 and Rs 876, respectively.

Maruti, Ranbaxy, Wipro, Hindalco, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 838, Rs 375, Rs 465, Rs 160, Rs 2,482 and Rs 1,807, respectively.

BHEL, Grasim, ITC, Dr.Reddy's, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel are up around 1% each.

Out of 2,362 stocks traded so far, 1,854 have advanced, 466 have declined and 42 are unchanged.
