Sensex up 152pts; HDFC, Dr.Reddy's gain 3%

The Sensex is now up 152 points at 12,777.

BHEL has soared nearly 6% to Rs 2,387. HDFC, NTPC and Dr.Reddy's have rallied around 3% each to Rs 1,470, Rs 159 and Rs 740,  respectively.

ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 824 and Rs 752, respectively.

Hindalco, Cipla and Reliance Energy have advanced around 2% each to Rs 132, Rs 228 and Rs 490, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, SBI, Tata Steel and Reliance are up 1.5% each.

Hero Honda has shed 1.5% to Rs 648. Satyam and Grasim are down 1% each at Rs 454 and Rs 2,080, respectively.

Out of 2,265 stocks traded so far, 1,494 have advanced, 698 have declined and 73 are unchanged.
