Sensex up 153pts; Bharti Airtel slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 153 points at 16,306.

The NSE Nifty is up 28 points at 4,907.

Infosys and Satyam have zoomed 5% each to Rs 1,586 and Rs 474, respectively.

Reliance Energy has surged nearly 3% to Rs 1,338. Wipro and ICICI Bank have rallied 2% each to Rs 434 and Rs 824, respectively.

Reliance has moved up 1.8% to Rs 2,656. Hindalco and TCS have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 176 and Rs 989, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, BHEL and Ambuja Cements have slipped over 2% each to Rs 798, Rs 1,798 and Rs 114, respectively.

Tata Motors has shed 1.8% at Rs 614. Hindustan Unilever, ONGC and Jaiprakash Associates are down around 1.5% each at Rs 242, Rs 1,010 and Rs 216, respectively.
