Sensex up 153pts; Cipla zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 153 points at 19,891.

Cipla has zoomed over 6% to Rs 201. Reliance Energy has soared nearly 4% to Rs 1,961.

ICICI Bank has surged 3.7% to Rs 1,205, and HDFC has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 2,820.

Mahindra & Mahindra and DLF have gained 2.3% each at Rs 792 and Rs 976, respectively.

Maruti has moved up 1.8% to Rs 1,051. NTPC and Infosys have gained 1.5% each at Rs 248 and Rs 1,626, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 930 and Rs 398, respectively.

Grasim has shed 2.8% at Rs 3,690, and Bajaj Auto has dropped 2.3% to Rs 2,735.

Hindalco has slipped 2% to Rs 195, and HDFC Bank has declined 1.5% to Rs 1,701.

Tata Steel is down over 1% at Rs 855.

Out of 2,870 stocks traded so far, 1,965 have advanced, 869 have declined and 36 are unchanged.
