Sensex up 155pts; Hindalco soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 155 points at 15,065.

Hindalco has surged 3.5% to Rs 161. BHEL and Reliance Energy have rallied 3% each to Rs 1,625 and Rs 644, respectively.

HDFC has soared 2.4% to Rs 1,953. Reliance Communications, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have advanced around 2% each to Rs 552, Rs 207, Rs 973 and Rs 1,173, respectively.

Cipla has moved up 1.7% to Rs 215. Tata Steel has gained 1.3% at Rs 664.

Out of 2,505 stocks traded so far, 1,820 have advanced, 626 have declined and 59 are unchanged.
