Sensex up 155pts; NTPC, BHEL lead

The Sensex is now up 155 points at 12,610.

NTPC and BHEL have surged 4.5% each to Rs 154 and Rs 2,248, respectively. Wipro has advanced 3.3% to Rs 535.

Hero Honda has rallied 2.8% to Rs 657. Infosys, Grasim and Satyam have advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,964, Rs 2,099 and Rs 456, respectively.

Reliance has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 1,338. HLL and TCS have added 1.7% each to Rs 199 and Rs 1,209, respectively.

Out of 2,423 stocks traded so far, 1,293 have advanced, 1,037 have declined and 93 are unchanged.
