Sensex up 162pts; Ambuja Cem, REL surge 3%

The Sensex is now up 162 points at 15,065.

Ambuja Cements and Reliance Energy have soared 2.7% each to Rs 130 and Rs 762, respectively.

Wipro and ACC have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 470 and Rs 1,003, respectively.

SBI, Bharti Airtel and BHEL have rallied over 2% each to Rs 1,720, Rs 880 and Rs 1,718, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Hindalco and Larsen & Toubro have moved up 1.8% each to Rs 541, Rs 160 and Rs 2,493, respectively.

Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Maruti, Satyam and Ranbaxy have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 660, Rs 1,152, Rs 838, Rs 468 and Rs 375, respectively.

Tata Steel, NTPC, Grasim, Reliance and ICICI Bank are up over 1% each.
