Sensex up 165pts; Reliance gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 165 points at 15,068.

Reliance Energy, Ambuja Cements and ACC have soared 2.8% each to Rs 764, Rs 130 and Rs 1,006, respectively.

NTPC and Tata Motors have rallied over 2% each to Rs 167 and Rs 664, respectively.

SBI, Reliance, Hindalco,  Bharti Airtel and Wipro have gained 1.8% each at Rs 1,712, Rs 1,814, Rs 160, Rs 876 and Rs 465, respectively.

Wipro and Reliance Communications have added 1.7% each to Rs 465 and Rs 540, respectively. Larsen & Toubro has added 1.5% to Rs 2,484.

BHEL, Ranbaxy, Grasim and ITC are up over 1% each at Rs 1,705, Rs 374, Rs 2,933 and Rs 174, respectively.

Out of 2,434 stocks traded so far, 1,921 have advanced, 467 have declined and 46 are unchanged.
