Sensex up 166pts; Hero Honda down 2%

The Sensex is now up 166 points at 14,169.

HDFC has soared 3% to Rs 1,802.

ACC, Grasim, BHEL, Tata Steel, Infosys and Ranbaxy have rallied around 2% each to Rs 816, Rs 2,415, Rs 1,340, Rs 608, Rs 2,023 and Rs 371, respectively.

Hindalco has moved up 1.7% to Rs 163. SBI and HDFC Bank are up 1.6% each at Rs 1,311 and Rs 1,100, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped over 2% to Rs 679.

Out of 2,430 stocks traded so far, 1,648 have advanced, 707 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
