Sensex up 168pts; Dr.Reddy's soars 16%

The Sensex touched a new all-time intra-day high of 12,235, and is now up 168 points at 12,211.

Dr.Reddy's has soared 15.6% to Rs 1,655. Ranbaxy has zoomed 8.8% to Rs 514.

Hindalco has surged nearly 4% to Rs 233. Tata Steel is up 1.6% at Rs 656.

ICICI Bank has advanced 2.7% to Rs 606. HDFC Bank has moved up 2.2% to Rs 845.

Reliance has added 1.6% to Rs 1,038.

Grasim has spurted 2% to Rs 2,568, and Gujarat Ambuja is up 1.5% at Rs 126. Bajaj Auto has rallied 2.2% to Rs 3,080.

The market breadth is extremely positive. Out of 1,764 stocks traded so far, 1,409 have moved up, 336 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
