Sensex up 168pts; HDFC Bank soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 168 points at 12,373.

HDFC Bank has soared over 4% to Rs 930. Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro have surged around 2% each to Rs 347 and Rs 1,257, respectively.

Satyam, Infosys, Cipla and Tata Steel have gained 1.7% each at Rs 817, Rs 1,834, Rs 257 and Rs 532, respectively.

Maruti, SBI and Tata Motors are up 1.5% each.
