Sensex up 169pts; Dr.Reddy's tumbles 4%

The Sensex is now up 169 points at 13,965.

SBI has soared 5.5% to Rs 1,212. HLL and ONGC surged 2.3% each to Rs 190 and Rs 907, respectively.

Grasim, Tata Steel and ICICI Bank rallied around 2% each to Rs 2,480, Rs 581 and Rs 864, respectively.

BHEL, Cipla and HDFC moved up 1.8% each to Rs 2,474, Rs 209 and Rs 1,686, respectively.

Reliance Communications, HDFC Bank, Gujarat Ambuja, Hindalco, ITC, Wipro and Satyam are the other major gainers.

Dr.Reddy's has tumbled over 4% to Rs 655. Hero Honda has shed 2.5% at Rs 688, and Bajaj Auto has dropped 2% to Rs 2,666.
