Sensex up 169pts; ITC, Infosys surge 2%

The Sensex is now up 169  points at 14,233.

Satyam has surged 2.6% to Rs 508, and HDFC Bank has rallied 2.4% to Rs 1,117.

ITC, Infosys and HDFC have advanced 2% each to Rs 154, Rs 1,992 and Rs 1,785, respectively.

Hindalco and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 160 and Rs 374, respectively.

BHEL, Reliance Energy and Reliance are up over 1% each at Rs 1,328, Rs 527 and Rs 1,678, respectively.

Grasim has shed 1.8% to Rs 2,350.
