Sensex up 16pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex is now up 16 points at 12,802.

Tata Steel has soared 4.5% to Rs 458. HDFC and Cipla has rallied 1.5% each to Rs 1,519 and Rs 233, respectively.

ACC, Tata Motors, HLL, Hindalco, Grasim and Maruti are up over 1% each to Rs 724, Rs 691, Rs 200, Rs 132, Rs 2,086 and Rs 753, respectively.

Reliance Communications has shed 1.3% to Rs 392. Dr.Reddy's is down 1% at Rs 738.

Out of 2,020 stocks traded so far, 1,218 have advanced, 737 have declined and 65 are unchanged.
