Sensex up 16pts; Hind Unilever drops 3%

The Sensex is now up 16 points at 15,748.

BHEL has zoomed 4.5% to Rs 1,846. Reliance Energy and NTPC have soared 3.8% each to Rs 742 and Rs 164, respectively.

Satyam and Dr.Reddy's have rallied around 3% each to Rs 508 and Rs 686, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, HDFC Bank and ONGC are up around 1% each.

Hindustan Unilever has plunged nearly 3% to Rs 198. Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 802 and Rs 753, respectively.

ACC has shed nearly 2% to Rs 1,119. Tata Steel, Cipla and TCS have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 711, Rs 189 and Rs 1,176, respectively.

Maruti, Reliance Communications and Ranbaxy are down over 1% each.

Out of 2,662 stocks traded so far, 1,678 have declined, 918 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
