Sensex up 16pts, Tata Tele zooms 15%

The Sensex is moving in a narrow range, and is now up 16 points at 7,226.

ONGC is up Rs 7 at Rs 990. Reliance is up a rupee at Rs 641. SBI is up Rs 5 at Rs 711. ITC is down Rs 10 at Rs 1,661.

ACC is steady at Rs 389 - up Rs 4. Grasim is now up Rs 10 at Rs 1,070.

HDFC Bank is now up Rs 10 at Rs 628.

TCS has declined over a per cent (Rs 17) at Rs 1,337. Infosys is up Rs 3 at Rs 2,354, and Wipro is marginally at Rs 745.

Bajaj is down Rs 10 at Rs 1,377. Tata Motors and Maruti are also weak.

Tata Teleservices has zoomed over 15% (Rs 4) to Rs 31. VSNL has advanced over 6% (Rs 16) to Rs 267. Zee is up 5% at Rs 161.

Out of 2,317 scrips traded, 1,565 have advanced, 692 have declined and 60 are unchanged.

SRF is the most active counter with a turnover of over Rs 88 crore followed by Tata Teleservices (Rs 42 crore), Reliance Capital (Rs 40 crore) and SBI (Rs 29 crore).
