Sensex up 172pts, Reliance gains 2%

The Sensex is now moving in a narrow range, and is up 172 points at 13,968.

SBI has moved up nearly 5% to Rs 1,205. HLL is still up 3.6% at Rs 192.

Reliance is up nearly 2% (Rs 28) at Rs 1,618. ICICI Bank is up over 2% at Rs 868.

Cipla, Gujarat Ambuja, Tata Steel and Reliance Communications are trading with gains of 2%.

Petroleum and banking stocks are logging gains in noon trades. Reliance Petroluem has gained over 6% to Rs 92. Chennai Petroleum and MRPL are up over 5% each.

IDBI has moved up 5% to Rs 99. Dena Bank, IOB, ING Vysya and BoB are trading with gains.
