Satyam and HDFC have gained around 2% each at Rs 449 and Rs 2,638, respectively.
Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra have rallied over 1.5% each to Rs 457 and Rs 640, respectively.
Ranbaxy, SBI and ICICI Bank have, also, advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 482, Rs 1,707 and Rs 889, respectively.
NTPC and HDFC Bank have added 1.3% each to Rs 193 and Rs 1,464, respectively.
ONGC and Cipla are up 1% each at Rs 1,043 and Rs 228, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates has slipped over 1% to Rs 244.
