Sensex up 17pts; Bajaj, BHEL shine

The Sensex is now up 17 points at 14,147.

BHEL and Bajaj Auto have advanced around 2% each to Rs 2,268 and Rs 2,821, respectively.

Satyam and TCS have gained 1.6% each to Rs 509 and Rs 1,349, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors are up 1% each at Rs 539, Rs 1,514, Rs 966 and Rs 955, respectively.

HDFC has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,562.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,415 stocks traded so far, 1,386 have advanced, 971 have declined and 58 are unchanged.
