Sensex up 17pts; breadth positive

The Sensex is now up 17 points at 13,959.

Ranbaxy and Bajaj Auto has flared up over 3% each to Rs 411 and Rs 2,822, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja has surged 2% to Rs 147. Tata Motors has gained 1.7% at Rs 945.

Larsen & Toubro, TCS, Maruti and NTPC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,478, Rs 1,265, Rs 982 and Rs 140, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Infosys are up 1% each at Rs 529 and Rs 2,295, respectively.

HLL has slipped 1.4% to Rs 214, and HDFC is down 1.2% at Rs 1,600.

ITC and ACC have declined 1% each to Rs 175 and Rs 1,081, respectively.

Out of 2,558 stocks traded so far 1,561 have advanced, 936 have declined and 61 are unchanged.
