Sensex up 17pts; Satyam, TCS hold gains

The Sensex is now up 17 points at 14,147.

BHEL and Bajaj Auto have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 2,262 and Rs 2,818, respectively.

Satyam and Gujarat Ambuja have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 509 and Rs 146, respectively. TCS has moved up 1.3% to Rs 1,346.

ACC, Reliance Energy and Larsen & Toubro are up 1% each at Rs 1,096, Rs 539 and Rs 1,515, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 2% to Rs 1,565. HLL is down 1% at Rs 220.

Out of 2,534 stocks traded so far, 1,462 have advanced, 1,021 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
