Sensex up 17pts; tech stocks weak

The Sensex is now up 17 points at 13,983.

ICICI Bank has advanced 1.8% to Rs 886, and Ranbaxy have added 1.6% to Rs 401.

Dr.Reddy's and Grasim are up 1% each at Rs 658 and Rs 2,485, respectively.

TCS has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,235. Wipro and Infosys are the other prominent losers.

Out of 2,203 stocks traded so far, 1,188 have advanced, 929 have declined and 86 are unchanged.
