Sensex up 181pts; Grasim zooms 8%

The Sensex touched a high of 12,047, and is now up 181 points at 12,033.

Grasim has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 2,530. Gujarat Ambuja has flared up 6% to Rs 123, and ACC has surged 3.7% to Rs 987.

Hindalco has surged 5.6% to Rs 225. Tata Steel has rallied 2.8% to Rs 652.

Cipla has advanced 3% to Rs 261. Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto have moved up 2.2% each to Rs 950 and Rs 3,005, respectively.

Out of 2,240 stocks traded so far, 1,745 have advanced, 448 have declined and 47 are unchanged.
