Sensex up 181pts; Infosys surges 4%

The Sensex is now up 181 points at 16,425.

The NSE Nifty is up 52 points at 4,939.

Infosys has surged 3.8% to Rs 1,661. Satyam has soared 3% to Rs 468. Wipro has gained 2% at Rs 456, and TCS has added 1.7% to Rs 991.

DLF has rallied 3% to Rs 641. Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 534, Rs 217, Rs 819 and Rs 827, respectively.

Tata Steel and SBI have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 700 and Rs 1,687, respectively.

HDFC, HDFC Bank and Reliance Energy are up 1% each at Rs 2,411, Rs 1,320 and Rs 1,360, respectively.
