Sensex up 182pts; Satyam up 6%

The Sensex is now up 182 points at 15,015.

The NSE Nifty is up 45 points at 4,578.

Satyam has zoomed nearly 6% to Rs 392, and Wipro has soared 5.5% to Rs 380. Tata Motors has surged 5% to Rs 650.

HDFC Bank has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 1,279. Larsen & Toubro, Jaiprakash (JP) Associates and Bharti Airtel have advanced over 3% each to Rs 2,850, Rs 207 and Rs 781, respectively.

ACC and Mahindra & Mahindra have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 780 and Rs 653, respectively. ITC has added 2.5% to Rs 188.

Reliance Communications adn Reliance have gained over 2% each at Rs 508 and Rs 2,190, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has dropped 2.3% to Rs 226. Hindalco has shed 1.6% at RS 159.

Out of 2,728 stocks traded so far, 1,765 have declined, 883 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
