Sensex up 182pts; Tata Motors zooms 5%

The Sensex is now up 182 points at 19,711.

Tata Motors has zoomed 5.3% to Rs 782, and ONGC has soared 4.3% to Rs 1,206.

Cipla and NTPC have surged 2.5% each to Rs 190 and Rs 245, respectively.

Hindalco and Larsen & Toubro have rallied over 2% each to Rs 198 and Rs 4,317, respectively.

Reliance and HDFC Bank have moved up 1.8% each to Rs 2,917 and Rs 1,734, respectively.

Ranbaxy has advanced 1.6% to Rs 394, and Bajaj Auto has added 1.3% to Rs 2,804.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti and Reliance Communications are up over 1% each at Rs 781, Rs 1,040 and Rs 719, respectively.

Out of 2,870 stocks traded so far, 2,177 have advanced, 648 have declined and 45 are unchanged.
