Sensex up 184pts; Wipro zooms 4%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 135 points at 15,038, and soon rallied to a high of 15,142.

The index is now up 184 points at 15,087.

Wipro has zoomed 4.4% to Rs 478 on the back its $600 mn US acquistion.

ONGC, Ambuja Cements, Reliance Energy, Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro, Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications have surged around 2% each to Rs 890, Rs 129, Rs 758, Rs 879, Rs 2,499, Rs 377 nd Rs 542, respectively.

BHEL and Satyam have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 1,715 and Rs 470, respectively.

ICICI Bank, SBI, Mahindra & Mahindra and HDFC have gained around 1.7% each.
