Sensex up 185pts; HDFC Bank rallies 5.5%

The Sensex is now up 185 points at 11,495.

HDFC Bank has rallied 5.5% to Rs 850. Hero Honda has surged 4% to Rs 709.

Ranbaxy and BHEL have gained around 3.5% each to Rs 407 and Rs 2,255, respectively. Larsen & Toubro has rallied over 3% to Rs 2,383.

ONGC has flared up nearly 3% to Rs 1,248. Tata Motors has added 2.5% to Rs 822.

Out of 2,537 stocks traded so far, 1,897 have advanced, 590 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
