Sensex up 188pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex is now up 188 points at 13,984.

SBI has soared over 5% to Rs 1,208. Tata Steel has surged 2.8% to Rs 585.

HLL and ONGC have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 190 and Rs 909, respectively.

ICICI Bank, HDFC, Cipla and Reliance Communications have advanced around 2% each to Rs 867, Rs 1,690, Rs 209 and Rs 487, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja and HDFC Bank have moved up 1.6% each to Rs 121 and Rs 1,014.

Dr.Reddy's has tumbled over 4% to Rs 655. Hero Honda has shed 2% at Rs 691, and Bajaj Auto has slipped 1.6% to Rs 2,674.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,904 stocks traded so far, 1,390 have advanced, 467 have declined and 47 are unchanged.
