Sensex up 18pts; NTPC, Tata Motors weak

The Sensex is now up 18 points at 15,440.

Cipla has soared over 3% to Rs 178.

Grasim, TCS and Infosys has gained 1.3% each at Rs 2,975, Rs 1,072 and Rs 1,885, respectively.

Tata Motors and NTPC have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 692 and Rs 183, respectively.

BHEL, Hindalco and ITC are the other notable losers.
