Sensex up 18pts; ONGC down 2%

The Sensex is now up 18 points at 14,825.

ACC has soared 5.5% to Rs 989. Ambuja Cements has surged nearly 4% to Rs 129.

Cipla has rallied 2% to Rs 218. Tata Motors has moved up 1.6% to Rs 699, and Reliance Energy has gained 1.3% at Rs 622.

Reliance and Tata Steel are up 1% each at Rs 1,722 and Rs 606, respectively.

ONGC has shed 1.6% to Rs 874. Hindalco and Wipro have slipped over 1% each to Rs 156 and Rs 509, respectively.

Out of 2,592 stocks traded so far, 1,390 have declined, 1,135 have advanced and 67 are unchanged.
