Sensex up 18pts; Ranbaxy drops 2%

The Sensex is now up 18 points at 14,505.

Bharti Airtel has moved up 1.7% to Rs 847.

BHEL, ONGC, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Grasim and Satyam are up around 1% each at Rs 1,468, Rs 927, Rs 606, Rs 684, Rs 2,486 and Rs 459, respectively.

Ranbaxy has slipped over 2% to Rs 348. HDFC has declined 1% to Rs 1,885.

Out of 2,653 stocks traded so far, 1,531 have advanced, 1,039 have declined and 83 are unchanged.
