Sensex up 18pts; Rel Comm spurts 2%

The Sensex is swinging in and out of the positive zone and is now up 18 points 11,989.

Reliance Communications has spurted over 2% to Rs 339. Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and NTPC have gained 1.3% each at Rs 495, Rs 2,681 and Rs 129, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped 1.2% to Rs 639.

Out of 2,314 stocks traded so far, 1,228 have declined, 997 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
