The Nifty is now trading at 4927, up 9 points.
RCom has gained 2.9% to Rs 567, Ranbaxy is up 2.3% at Rs 507. HDFC is up 2.1% to Rs 2,569 and Jaiprakash gained 1.8% at Rs 233. Tata Steel too has advanced 1.7% at Rs 918.
Wipro is trading 1.5% higher at Rs 513. Cipla and Satyam have gained over 1% each. Reliance Infra, L&T, ONGC, HUL, Bharti and ACC are the other gainers.
Tata Motors has lost 5% to Rs 603, ITC is down 1.9% at Rs 217. Ambuja Cements slipped 1.6% at Rs 102. Mahindra & Mahindra is down 1.4% to Rs 632 and Maruti has declined 1.27% to Rs 768.
SBI, Infosys, NTPC, ICICI Bank, Hindalco, Grasim, DLF and TCS are the other losers.
