Sensex up 190pts; Bharti drops 3%

The Sensex is now up 190 points at 15,547.

The NSE Nifty is up 42 points at 4,666.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates and Satyam have surged over 4.5% each to Rs 229 and Rs 381, respectively.

DLF has soared over 4% to Rs 632. Infosys and Hindalco have rallied 3% each to Rs 1,374 and Rs 179, respectively.

Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy have gained 2.7% each at Rs 637, Rs 860 and Rs 1,229, respectively.

ITC, NTPC, Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have advanced over 2% each to Rs 190, Rs 191, Rs 712 and Rs 2,865, respectively.

Reliance, TCS and Wipro have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 2,277, Rs 791 and Rs 370, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has dropped 2.7% to Rs 757. Maruti has shed 2% at Rs 823.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Ambuja Cements are down around 1.5% each to Rs 652 and Rs 119, respectively.
