Sensex up 191pts; Bajaj Auto, L&T, DLF lead

The Sensex is now up 191  points at 16,115.

The NSE Nifty is up 65 points at 4,865.

Bajaj Auto and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have zoomed 7.5% each to Rs 2,136 and Rs 2,929, respectively. DLF has soared nearly 7% to Rs 727.

ONGC has surged 4.3% to Rs 1,010, and NTPC has rallied 3.4% to Rs 192.

HDFC Bank has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 1,348. SBI, Mahindra & Mahindra and ACC have advanced around 2.5% each to Rs 1,930, Rs 685 and Rs 785, respectively.

Grasim and BHEL are up over 2% each at Rs 2,800 and Rs 1,952, respectively.

Satyam has dropped 3.3% to Rs 395. Bharti Airtel and HDFC have shed 2.5% each at Rs 783 and Rs 2,512, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 1.6% to Rs 879. Cipla and TCS are down 1% each at Rs 199 and Rs 823, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,503 stocks traded so far, 1,841 have advanced, 613 have declined and 49 are unchanged.
