Sensex up 191pts; ITC, Hindalco down 2%

The Sensex is now up 191 points at 19,987.

Infosys has zoomed 5.5% to Rs 1,725. DLF and ICICI Bank have soared 4% each to Rs 1,010 and Rs 1,247, respectively.

HDFC has surged 2.7% to Rs 2,890, and TCS has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,060.

Ranbaxy has gained 2.3% at Rs 407. HDFC Bank and Wipro have advanced 2% each to Rs 1,721 and Rs 503, respectively.

Reliance Communications has moved up 1.7% to Rs 731. Satyam and SBI have added 1.5% each to Rs 444 and Rs 2,432, respectively.

Bharti Airtel is up over 1% at Rs 951.

ITC has shed 2.4% at Rs 188, and Hindalco has slipped over 2% to Rs 189.

Tata Steel has dropped 1.7% to Rs 833. ACC and BHEL have declined 1.5% each to Rs 1,066 and Rs 2,745, respectively.

Grasim, Ambuja Cements, Reliance and Bajaj Auto are down over 1% each at Rs 3,642, Rs 152, Rs 2,840 and Rs 2,695, respectively.

Out of 2,903 stocks traded so far, 1,444 have declined, 1,415 have advanced and 44 are unchanged.
