Sensex up 193pts; Reliance gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 193 points at 15,315.

Mahindra & Mahindra has soared nearly 4% to Rs 701, and NTPC has surged 3.4% to Rs 172.

Maruti and Tata Motors have rallied 3% each to Rs 858 and Rs 702, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Reliance and Ranbaxy have moved up around 2.5% each to Rs 787, Rs 1,957 and Rs 387, respectively.

Tata Steel, SBI and ONGC have gained over 2% each at Rs 672, Rs 1,605 and Rs 855, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, Wipro and TCS have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 205, Rs 884, Rs 483 and Rs 1,056, respectively.

Cipla, Bajaj Auto and BHEL are up over 1% each at Rs 167, Rs 2,391 and Rs 1,878, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,437 stocks traded so far, 1,605 have advanced, 775 have declined and 57 are unchanged.
