Sensex up 195pts; breadth extremely +ve

The Sensex is now up 195 points at 18,243.

The Nifty is up 67 points at 5,344.

ONGC has soared 2.5% to Rs 1,046, and Tata Motors has surged 2.2% to Rs 749.

ICICI Bank and ACC have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 1,229 and Rs 769, respectively.

TCS has gained 1.5% at Rs 865. Grasim and Reliance have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 2,826 and Rs 2,586, respectively.

Cipla, Ranbaxy and Satyam have also advanced 1.3% each to Rs 187, Rs 402 and Rs 432, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, BHEL, Maruti and Wipro are up around 1% each at Rs 3,548, Rs 2,239, Rs 814 and Rs 419, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,296 stocks traded so far, 1,664 have advanced, 577 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
