Sensex up 198pts; Reliance, TCS surge

The Sensex is now up 198 points at 14,325.

SBI has surged 3.5% to Rs 1,330. Tata Steel, Dr.Reddy's, ICICI Bank and BHEL have rallied over 2% each to Rs 602, Rs 678, Rs 939 and Rs 2,648, respectively.

Reliance and TCS have gained 1.7% each at Rs 1,663 and Rs 1,245, respectively.

Maruti, Infosys, Tata Motors, ITC and NTPC have adavanced around 1.5% each to Rs 815, Rs 1,981, Rs 746, Rs 165 and Rs 159, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Grasim, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, ONGC, Reliance Energy, Larsen & Toubro and Wipro are the other major gainers.

Bajaj Auto has slipped 1% to Rs 2,655.

Out of 2,430 stocks traded so far, 1,423 have advanced, 926 have declined and 81 are unchanged.
