Sensex up 19pts; market breadth marginally +ve

The Sensex is now up 20 points at 12,091.

Satyam and Hindalco have surged 2% each to Rs 839 and Rs 171, respectively. Tata Steel has gained 1.5% at Rs 506.

Ranbaxy has advanced over 1% to Rs 423. ONGC and ITC are the other notable gainers.

HDFC and HDFC Bank have slipped nearly 1% each to Rs 1,355 and Rs 874, respectively.

Cipla and Grasim are the other notable losers.

The market breadth is marginally positive - out of 2,080 stocks traded so far, 1,080 have advanced, 927 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
