Sensex up 200pts in early trades

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 107 points at 18,526, and touched a high of 18,643.

The index is now up 200 points at 18,619.

Reliance Energy has soared over 4% to Rs 1,703.

HDFC Bank has rallied 3% to Rs 1,475, and Reliance Communications has surged over 2% to Rs 734.

Tata Steel has advanced 1.8% to Rs 863. ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,070 and Rs 1,085, respectively.

Hindalco, ONGC, Reliance and Tata Motors are up over 1% each at Rs 181, Rs 1,104, Rs 2,594 and Rs811, respectively.

Wipro has shed 1.7% to Rs 478.
